Illustration

Illustration with made-up figures. A supplier bill arrives. Its supplier, date, net amount of €240.00, VAT at 19% of €45.60 and total of €285.60 are read and marked on the bill. The checks pass: net plus VAT equals the total, the VAT is 19% of the net, and the bill isn't already in the books. In the VAT return for the third quarter, VAT on purchases rises by €45.60 and the net VAT to pay falls by the same amount; the return is ready for review before it is filed, and the journal is posted. An illustration with made-up figures, not a live demo: nothing is read or worked out in your browser.

Bookkeeping that shows its working.

Every figure in a report traces back to a journal, and every journal to the document or bank line it came from. You can open any of them, see who did what, and correct it the proper way — so the books stay right, and stay explainable.

How this is worked out

Assumes about 4 minutes to key in a document by hand and about 1 minute to check one the AI has read. Your figures will differ: documents vary, and some need more checking.

VAT, payroll, tax and reporting

The serious parts, prepared from the same books.

Returns and reports are worked out from the journals, with every rate taken from a dated catalogue that records its source and whether it has been confirmed.

VAT
Returns prepared from the books for each period, VIES listings, reverse charge, and a VAT control report to check them against the books.
Payroll
Monthly payroll with Social Insurance, GESY and PAYE, payslips as PDF, approval before posting, and the employer's annual return prepared.
Tax and deadlines
Corporate tax worked out from the books, personal tax for owners, and a calendar of key deadlines, each with its source, with reminders before each one.
Reporting
Profit and loss, balance sheet, trial balance, ageing and a cash forecast, by period, with PDF and spreadsheet exports.

SumWize prepares returns and the figures behind them. You or your accountant review them and submit them through the official portals.

Security and privacy

Careful with your data, and clear about its limits.

Two-step sign-in
An authenticator code when you sign in, with recovery codes that only you keep.
Separated by company
The database itself refuses to show one company's records to another.
Nothing left behind
Signing out clears what was on screen, so the back button can't bring it back.
Sensitive fields encrypted
Sign-in secrets are encrypted before they're stored.

What it doesn't do

  • It doesn't file returns for you. You stay the one who submits.
  • It doesn't connect to your bank. You import statements you've downloaded.
  • It doesn't send your documents to outside AI services unless your company's owner switches AI on.

What it saves

Keep the routine bookkeeping in-house in 2026

Recording bills, sales and bank movements becomes easier to manage yourself. Accountants and auditors remain valuable, and often required, for statutory accounts and audits, complex tax and advice: this is about the everyday part of the work.

EstimateEstimates for a month in 2026. SumWize's fee is the cheapest of our published plans for this many documents, including any extra documents or AI calls, assuming one AI call per document read. Outsourced time assumes about 0.5 minute a document to gather and send it. Not a quote or advice.

Extras

  • Another person who can sign in: €5 a month
  • 5 more payroll employees: €10 a month
  • 100 more AI calls: €6 one-time (never expire)
  • 1 GB more file storage: €3 a month

About AI calls

An AI call is one request to an outside AI model, such as reading a bill. Ask AI chat uses the same allowance. Help answers, answers repeated from the cache, and documents read from their own text use no calls. AI stays off until it is available on the platform and the company's owner switches it on.

If you go over

  • Sales invoices and bills are never refused. Beyond the plan's number, the extra ones are charged in blocks of 100 at €4.
  • Bank accounts and file storage are fixed limits: add storage as an extra, or move up a plan for more bank accounts.
  • When the month's included AI calls are used up, AI pauses until next month (help answers keep working). Need more? Buy 100 AI calls for €6, a one-time purchase.
  • No plan ever deletes a file attached to a record.

Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, and starting it doesn't ask for a card. Creating an account doesn't ask for payment either.

Questions

The short answers. The guide inside the app covers each topic in more detail.

Does it file my returns with the Tax Department?

No. It prepares VAT, payroll and other returns and the figures behind them; you or your accountant review and submit them through the official portals.

Does it connect to my bank?

Not directly. You download a statement from online banking and import it; the column layout is remembered for next time.

Do I still need an accountant?

Many owners keep their day-to-day books themselves with the guide. For tax planning, year-end sign-off and anything legally complex, take professional advice, and invite your accountant into the same books.

Where do the tax and payroll rates come from?

From a catalogue of dated rules. Each one records where it was read from and whether it has been confirmed, and a period always uses the rates in force for it.

Can my accountant work in the same books?

Yes. Invite them with the role that fits; an accountant can look after several client companies from one sign-in.

Can I bring in my existing records?

Yes. Opening balances from your previous year, and customers, suppliers and transactions from spreadsheets, come in through the Import screen.

Can I use it in Greek?

Yes. Every screen, document and message is available in Greek and English, and you can switch at any time.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, and starting it doesn't ask for a card. After that, plans are billed monthly or yearly, and prices exclude VAT.

What counts as an AI call?

One AI action, such as reading a bill or answering a question in Ask AI chat (one question is one call); both use the same monthly allowance. Help answers, cached answers and documents read from their own text use no calls. When the month's calls are used up, AI pauses until next month, or you can add 100 more calls a month as an extra.
